Dr. Alex Hawley

The Sams Clinic is the only surgical clinic in the Bay Area with a board certified anesthesiologist on staff. Working closely with our specialists in orthopaeadics and neurology, Dr. Hawley oversees patients' safety and comfort, before, during and after surgery. He vigilantly monitors vital signs using a wide variety of techniques including electrocardiograms (EKG or ECG) and pulse oximetry (the oxygen saturation of blood), keeping a constant eye on oxygen levels, blood pressure, body temperature and the depth of anesthesia to ensure the patient's safety.
